Forklift Waste Bin Compactors for Reducing Trash Volume
Forklift waste bin compactors provide an efficient way to compress trash, packaging waste, cardboard, and bulky refuse inside large collection bins. Designed for warehouses, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, recycling areas, and maintenance departments, these fork-mounted compactors help reduce wasted bin space, improve housekeeping, and limit the need for manual waste compression.
Fork Mounted Compaction Design
The rectangular steel compactor uses its own weight to press waste material down into the bin, helping create more usable container capacity. Two sets of fork pockets are built into the unit: the lower pockets support transport between work areas, while the upper pockets are used for lifting and lowering the compactor into the waste bin.
Adjustable Height and Safe Handling
Incremental height adjustment allows the compactor to be positioned for different bin depths and compression needs. A safety chain is included to help secure the attachment to the fork truck during handling. Operators should always follow fork truck manufacturer load center ratings and verify that the attachment and load remain within the truck’s rated capacity.
Empty and Cement-Filled Models
This family includes empty models and cement-filled models with approximate filled weights of 2,000 lb. or 4,000 lb. Usable fork pockets measure 7-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inches on 24 inch centers. Durable steel construction with a blue painted finish supports long service life in demanding industrial waste handling applications.
