Vertical Sheet Material Storage Racks for Organized Panel Handling

Vertical sheet material storage racks provide a practical way to store sheet goods upright for better visibility, access, and organization. Designed for manufacturing shops, maintenance areas, warehouses, fabrication departments, and stockrooms, these racks help keep panels, boards, blanks, and other flat materials separated and easy to identify while reducing clutter on the floor.

Four-Bay Vertical Storage Design

Each rack includes four storage bays with varying heights, allowing users to organize multiple sizes of sheet material in one compact footprint. The vertical layout makes it easier to view available stock, retrieve the right material quickly, and reduce unnecessary handling compared to stacked horizontal storage. Each bay supports up to 1,500 lb., making the rack suitable for demanding industrial storage applications.

Durable Construction Options

This family includes welded steel construction and bolt-together knock-down configurations to match different purchasing, shipping, and installation needs. The welded model provides a ready-to-use heavy-duty structure, while the knock-down version can help reduce freight costs and includes adjustable-width uprights for added flexibility. A baked-in powder coat finish adds toughness for long-term use in busy work environments.

Installation and Applications

Variable height sheet racks are ideal for storing sheet metal, plywood, plastic panels, laminate, signage material, and other flat stock. Units include lag-down points for secure placement, and concrete anchor bolts are available separately. These racks offer a straightforward way to improve inventory control, material access, and floor space efficiency.

The knock-down sheet rack, model number VHSR-4BA-KD ships at a lower freight class averaging 50% savings versus the welded model number VHSR-4.
