The positive locking design grips the sheet until the release ring is pulled, helping operators maintain control when lifting one plate at a time with an overhead hoist or crane. Positive Locking Safety DesignThe locking mechanism supports dependable vertical plate handling, while the hardened tool steel serrated gripper helps maintain a strong hold on compatible steel materials. Forged head and gear construction add strength for demanding lifting applications, and the powder coated finish provides durability for industrial use. Capacity and Plate Thickness OptionsThis family includes working load limits from 2,000 lb. to 6,000 lb., with maximum plate thickness capacities up to 1-9/16 inches depending on model. Minimum plate weight requirements apply, and plate clamps should not be used to lift loads less than 20 percent of the rated capacity. Application GuidelinesThese clamps are designed to meet ASME B30.20 standards and are intended for clean steel plate with surface hardness up to 30 RC or 300 HB. They are not designed for stainless steel or aluminum plate. These vertical lifting clamps offer a rugged, reliable solution for controlled steel plate handling. |
