Vertical Steel Plate Lifting Clamps for Hoist and Crane Handling

Vertical steel plate lifting clamps provide a dependable solution for lifting and positioning clean steel plate in fabrication shops, steel service centers, warehouses, maintenance departments, and industrial production areas. Designed for use with overhead hoists or cranes, these clamps help operators handle one plate at a time in a vertical position with better control and efficiency.

Pivoting Bale and Secure Grip

A pivoting bale supports easier alignment and more versatile lifting angles during operation. Automatic serrated hardened steel cams and pads grip the plate securely, while the drop-forged steel case provides maximum strength for demanding material handling applications.

Working Load and Plate Range

This family includes working load limits from 1,000 lb. to 6,600 lb., with maximum plate thickness capacities from approximately 0.59 inch to 1.19 inches depending on model. Minimum plate weight requirements apply, and clamps should not be used to lift loads less than 10 percent of the rated capacity.

Application and Safety Guidelines

These vertical plate clamps are designed to meet ASME B30.20 and are intended for clean, oil-free steel plate with surface hardness up to 30 RC or 300 HB. They are not designed for stainless steel or aluminum plate. This family offers rugged plate handling tools for controlled lifting, staging, and positioning work.
